What to Expect: Our Process
Are you thinking about getting started with Ward Home Builders? Here’s a little bit about how we work, so you can know what to expect:
Initial Consultation(s)
Take a look at what you should consider or have ready before you contact us [LINK]. You’ll likely have land and a loose plan, at least. If you need help finding an architect or firming up your plan, go ahead and call us. We’d love to talk to you on the phone if you have any other questions before we schedule a meeting on your property. After sorting out the preliminaries, we’ll want to meet you on your land. During this consultation, we’ll discuss your timeline and budget, and get an idea of what’s doable.
House Plan
William will meet you on your undeveloped property to discuss your plan and your budget. If you don’t have an architect or blueprints yet, William can help you determine what you can do on your land within your budget and then help you find a good architect to fill in the details. If you already have blueprints, we’ll work out an appropriate budget and timeline for making that plan happen on your land.
Financing
If you don’t already have financing, we know some trusted lenders in the area who can help you. Otherwise, if you’ve already worked out financing, we can help determine the best way to stay within your budget given your plan.
Scheduling
After a specific plan, budget, and loose timeline have been decided, we will work out a specific schedule and contract for your build, with an estimated date of completion for each milestone (from clearing to foundation to framing, etc.). It’s important that you know what to expect at every stage of your build, and William will keep you updated throughout the process if anything is happening before or after the expected time.
Construction and Updates
As soon as we begin to prepare your land for construction, William also begins sending you updates (with pictures) on the progress at least every week. William is also ready to take your call or answer your texts or emails if you have any questions or concerns. And, of course, you’re welcome to come on site to see your home being built at any time. The only thing we ask is that, should you want something done, you communicate it through William so we can be sure to fulfill your wishes in the most efficient way possible.
Final Finish and Occupancy
Ward Home Builders wants you to be fully satisfied with your home. We offer a one-year warranty from the certificate of occupancy on all of our work. We’re there until it is cleaned and ready for move-in, making sure even the things you didn’t know to consider are being considered and every one of your expectations is exceeded.
